The Beginning of the End

Last weekend was Ali’s last club volleyball tournament of her high school career.  I heard one of the dads say as the girls won their last game, “This is the beginning of the end for our girls.”  Sadly, yet it is.  I know throughout the next year, Ali’s senior year in high school, that we will work through the “lasts” for Ali.  For example, her last choir concert, her last volleyball game, her last show choir perfomance, etc.  I expect all of these to be very difficult for me.  How can my little girl be this grown up????  Hello???

It was a great weekend for Ali and her team.  They won so many of their games and played so well as a team.  Each time Ali was on the court, she did her best, played her heart out and gave it her all.  Her attitude was wonderful, and she really made us proud!  Great job #17! 

Needless to say, I’m cherishing every moment I get to spend with our children…watching them perform, play, at home, every moment.  They are growing up way too fast, right before my eyes!
