Whew! Last week was a full week, but a fun one. As we are winding down the school year, I am reminded just how busy this time of year is!
Last Monday was Zach’s last school soccer game. It was fun to watch his classmates play together, and many of them are on different soccer club teams. Even though they didn’t win their last game, they played well and hustled on the field. They had a pizza party at school on Wednesday to celebrate.
Tuesday was Zach’s Select Choir Spring Concert which included the a cappella men’s group he’s involved in, A Few Good Men. I put videos of the concert on Facebook…they turned out really well! His group is one of my favorite choirs to listen to! Below Zach, his cousin Justin and their Grandma Peg.
Ali texted me Wednesday saying she got the first job she applied for…at Buffalo Wild Wings! I am so proud of her. She will do great interracting with people and as an employee! I guess we’ll have a new place to eat at…and probably often, if we will want to see her at all this summer! 🙂
It was a busy week at Mission of Hope…there is so much need out there, and the need seems to be increasing. It seems God is growing me in so many areas of my life through the Mission!
Friday we packed up and left for Des Moines. Zach’s club soccer team played in the Director’s Cup Tournament all weekend…three games Saturday and one on Sunday. They played well, even though they didn’t win a game. My heart broke for them. Zach had a good time with his friends, and we enjoyed the weekend together as a family! Aunt Nancy came to one of Zach’s games on Saturday too!
And here we are…another week has gone by, and we’re starting a new one (which could be busier than last week)! But I’m thankful God allows me to experience so many wonderful things, and I’m thankful for our family and all we get to do together. What blessings! Wishing you a great week!
