We’ve made it to day 5!
And we’re two-thirds finished with today’s ride. Currently having lunch in Greene.
These little towns are full of character and fun! Being a small town girl myself, I appreciate this! People go out of their way to make 10,000+ people feel welcome as we converge on their town. We make sure we patronize the local churches, schools, groups and businesses when we are hungry! We just had the most delicious scotcheroos from the Lutheran ladies!
The weather is incredible. We woke up to 55 degrees in our tent this morning at 5am, along with the familiar sound of a distant train whistle. Almost felt like I was home. Almost. 🙂
Being comfortable on the bike seat is a thing of the past I now realize. We are having to stop more often now. But we’re doing okay and are having a blast.
Will check in again soon!
Julie
Blessings to you, Julie. So glad you are having a good time. What a memory!
Thanks, Sabra. Blessings to you too!
You are a trooper, Julie! Blessings on the rest of your trip! I look forward to seeing your writing blog hop. I was so sorry not to be able to participate at this time.
Betsy, thank you! You attended She Speaks, didn’t you? The blog hop will be coming later this week. I’m sure there will be others you’ll be able to participate in soon. Praying you and your family are doing well!

I was happy to see your words “homestretch” on Thursday! 🙂
