My Love of Writing = Two Blogs

by | May 28, 2014 | personal journey

"The person born with a talent they are meant to use will find their greatest happiness in using it." --Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I love to write.

I love to blog.

I love to share my life and life experiences..

And I love to encourage others on their journey through this life.

It took me until this year to embrace reality, and believe I was called to write. And once I did, I leaped into the deep end of the pool. None of this walking in from the shallow end for me. I went all in.

I taught myself how to build a self-hosted website, and moved my Loving God…Loving Others blog over to this site you are visiting today. The roots of this blog have been in existence since November 2007. These years of sharing my life and my beautiful family’s life has been a complete and total blessing!

As of two weeks ago, however, I have two blog homes.

This one of course, and a new one which came from one of those “nudgings” you can’t ignore.

Live. Laugh. Linger.

Live. Laugh. Linger. (www.livelaughlinger.com) has a much different focus than this one. Instead of sharing the more personal aspects of my life, I share things that are relevant to our lives in a more practical way, but still with a focus of encouragement.

My purpose is to help slow the pace of life, finding joy on our journey.

To Live boldly.
To Laugh through our days.
To Linger in the special moments of life.

I’d love for you to hop on over there. A link is above in the menu bar as well. Subscribe by email. Follow Live Laugh Linger on Facebook or @LiveLaughLinger on Twitter. (If you haven’t done those things on this site, feel free with the links on the right…)

Tomorrow’s post on Live. Laugh. Linger. is about “accepting the apology you never got,” and how to work through the hurts of life.

Thank you for visiting today, and for doing life with me! You bless me more than you realize!

Julie

Kathryn, Now since I have the time, I’m devoting much of it to writing. I guess I’m treating it like a “full-time job.” I’m looking forward to seeing what God’s plans are with the new one. Thank you for your compliments and for visiting it! I’m always open to suggestions.

Today’s reminder:
You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
You don’t have to have it all together to be deeply loved.
You’re already chosen, already cherished.

Let’s see ourselves through God's grace-colored glasses today.

Not sure if Abundant Life Mentoring is for you?
Let’s look at the 7 things it’s not.

Too many women believe mentoring has to be intense, performance-driven, or one-size-fits-all. But that’s not what you’ll find here. Abundant Life Mentoring is a grace-filled, Christ-centered space for real women seeking real growth.

There's a group of special women out there who, for one reason or another, show up to church alone.

At a former church, an entire row was filled with us women who came without spouses or families, and we created quite a bond. We knew we needed it--and each other.

I get it--it's not so easy to do somedays, walking in alone, sitting by oneself, but every time, God meets me there.

If you went to church by yourself or know someone who did today, I see you. I'm with you. I am praying for you. Keep showing up. Your presence matters more than you know.

Sometimes the most sacred moments don’t look polished. Sometimes they include a book, a lap full of grandsons, and yes—even a finger in a nose.😉

But this? This is legacy.
This is love.
This is what matters right now.🩷

You don’t have to have it all together to make a difference.
Your presence is enough. Your faithfulness is forming something eternal.🌸

Keep showing up, even when life feels messy. God is using it all. 🙌
