Each month I write a note to the the three I’m blessed to journey through life with, my family. Here it is for the month of April, in poem form:
Bill, Alissa & Zach,
April 2015 has come and gone,
and what a beautiful month it was.
With many memory-making moments,
filled with faith, hope, and love.
You three are so special…
You’re my joy, my purpose, my life.
Each day is a gift to me
to be your momma and your wife.
Bill, thank you for your grace and encouragement
as April was the busiest for me so far.
I couldn’t have done all I did without you,
my shining knight, my super guy, my rock star.
You’re the greatest husband,
and the most wonderful dad.
You bless our family incredibly,
For you I’m thankful and humbly glad.
Alissa, I had a ball with you
in Chicago and traveling to and from.
Time spent with you is pure joy for me,
and never, ever is ho-hum.
I love you, Sweetheart, so very much,
and I’m proud of who you are.
Keeping walking with God, hand in hand.
He’ll continue to take you far.
Zach, wow, what a month you’ve had
with soccer, school, and show choir.
You rocked it on that National Championship stage;
you continue to amaze me as you soar higher and higher.
And as you close down this chapter in your life this month,
keep seeking God and soaking it all in.
I love you so very much, my son.
A prouder mom there has never been.
My Lefe’s, May is going to be an exciting and full month!
I can’t wait to experience it with you.
I’ll continue lifting our family in prayer,
and seeking God in all we do.
All my love
Your wife and momma,
Julie
(I thought I’d change things up this month with a fun little poem. Thanks for putting up with my quirkiness! I hope it made you smile!)
I’m sure I’m not the first to say … What a beau tribute to your family! And not just this one, but your monthly commitment to capture the important moments in the life of your family. I know each on of your loves must blossom under your encouragement. What a TREASURE! I am blessed and challenged!
Thank you, Dianne. I wish I would have started this monthly tribute earlier in our lives, but I look forward to doing it each month, recapturing and recalling those special moments. I appreciate your encouragement more than you know! God bless you, friend!
