I’m having a hard time believing today is the last day of September.
Where has the month gone? Where has the summer gone? Where have the first nine months of 2014 gone???
Each month I write a love note to my family, in thankfulness and remembrance of our month together. I am in awe of the life and love we share.
This month’s letter is written with a different “twist.”
To my wonderful “Lefe” family…
I couldn’t be more proud
to be your mom and wife.
I consider it a gift and an honor
to walk with you through this life.
You make my life so sweet,
and fill it with joy and fun.
I thank God for each of you,
husband, daughter and son.
Bill, my love of a lifetime,
my partner, and soul mate.
You bless me each and every day,
and I love that we still date.
Dates of dinners, music, new experiences,
alone or with friends.
Biking adventures, day or night,
filled with smiles, laughter, and odds and ends.
You put up with my moods,
my ramblings, and silly quirks.
Thank you for always supporting me,
in my endeavors, my calling, and my work.
Alissa, my bubbly, yet responsible girl,
who is independent, beautiful, and kind.
You have a way of making life around here fun,
with your humor and spontaneity, combined.
It’s exciting to see you on your way,
on the path God has called you to.
Your future is bright and beautiful,
keep your eyes on Him in all you do.
I enjoy talking and spending time with you,
more than you probably know.
Our time together isn’t as often as it used to be,
but remember I’m proud of you, and I love you so!
Zach, my fun-loving, soccer boy,
who isn’t so little anymore.
You’re growing into a fine young man,
who, in this last year of high school, is set to soar.
A full month of show choir, Homecoming,
Kenzie, friends, and football games.
You’re making the most of every day,
as no other year will ever be the same.
I love you, and am proud of you,
and am excited for what’s ahead.
Keep doing your best in all you do,
Z-man, my Zachey & Fred.
My attempt at poetry here,
was probably a little weak.
But you’ve always known your mom and wife,
to be a little unique.
September was a wonderful month.
May October be just as great.
I look forward to making more memories with you,
embracing special moments only God can create.
Just remember how much I love you,
each and every day.
I’ll continue to pray for you, support you, and encourage you
every step of the way.
All my love,
Julie & Mom

LOVE! Every time I read someone’s post that is a letter to family or a loved one, I am so touched and think I should write one. Someday I will, but for now I will enjoy getting a glimpse into other’s families such as yours. What a treat!
Thank you, Mary. You’re such a blessing. Always full of encouragement and wise words. I appreciate each time you stop in! God bless you!
