This is something so little, but now and also at the time, it meant the world to me. This may seem so insignificant to share on my blog, but I like to find joy in the little things of life…and need to appreciate the little things more often.
Friday was an emotional day for me. A few things happened that day that moved me to tears…I was a little overwhelmed with life, and joy was the farthest thing from my mind.
Later that evening, I was working in my office, finishing up a few things, as Bill and the kids were upstairs in front of the fire in the fireplace. As I was ready to call it a night, a little exhausted, Bill opened up my office door with a plate in his hand. On the plate was a S’mores treat! Here upstairs, Bill and the kids roasted marshmallows over the fire in the fireplace, made S’mores, and he thought to bring one down to me. I don’t think he realized how much I needed that right then. Those “little things” like that bring me such joy. That was probably the best-tasting S’more I’ve ever had!
So, Bill, when you read this…thank you again for bringing down that small treat that brought me so much joy! 🙂
Today, let’s look for the “little things” in our lives and for the joy that they bring!
Love,
Julie
