At BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) this morning I heard a little girl say to her mom as she looked up at her with bright, wide eyes, “Mommy, I was good today!”
I found that statement, combined with the look on her face, extremely cute! It was one of those moments that warmed my heart and brought me to a smile.
That little statement was pretty profound, really. She was proud of her behavior and she wanted to share it with her mom. She wanted her behavior to please her mom.
And of course, I relate most things to my faith and to God. It got me thinking, “In my prayer time before I fall asleep tonight, I want to be able to tell God the same thing…’I was good today!'” 🙂
I know there’s nothing I can do to make God love me more, and there’s nothing I can do to make Him love me less. And because of that, I want to please Him. Just like that little girl wanted to please her mom.
Just thought I’d share this cute moment of my day!
Have a great night!
