My husband blessed me today.
He came home this morning with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. (And three roses for Ali.) He brought out a gift bag, which I could tell was full of all sorts of goodies. (I waited until tonight to open it though.)
When I walked in the door tonight after work, something smelled delicious! Bill was making dinner. I soon found out that both Zach and Ali had plans for tonight and were leaving shorty thereafter. They opened their presents, I opened the bag of goodies from Bill, the kids headed out the door and I looked forward to spending the next couple of hours with my Honey. 🙂
I was able to relax until dinner was ready. We talked and shared about our day…just like “old days.”
In a short while, Bill dished up our meal on Valentine-colored plates. In front of me he set a beautiful-looking plate of Chicken Picada…chicken, linguine, artichokes, capers in a lemon-wine sauce. It beat any Chicken Picada I’ve ever had at a restaurant…delicious! Candles lit, arranged flowers on the table…it was beautiful.
And in the background was playing some of my favorite music. I can’t remember ever having a more enjoyable or romantic Valentine’s Day! Bill opened his gift from me (most people know my love language is gifts!) 🙂
Bill knows how to spoil me. I’m thankful and grateful for the many small and big things he does to bless me!
Happy Valentine’s Day, friends!
