Last evening I was so tired, I honestly forgot to log in and post what I was thankful for. So, I’ll share yesterday’s and today’s in one post tonight. 🙂
I was melted and pleased this week when I read a poem Zach wrote at school about himself and what makes him Zach (below). I have a lot to thank God for in this poem….
I Am From Poem
by Zach Lefebure
I am from…
Thick brown hair that looks crazy in the morning
Five feet tall that help me catch passes
Hazel eyes that are always wide open
Strong legs that kick soccer balls far
I am from…
The movie Final Season that reminds me of my hometown
Tango & Cash that reminds me of how cool Kurt Russell is
Wild Hogs that tells me how funny comedians are
Facing the Giants that tells me to do my best
I am from…
My mom who is a busy bee
My dad that is like a strong wrestler
My sister that is like a fashion critic
Three cats that have as much energy as a cheetah
I am from…
My school that takes so long
Our church that tells me that I am a Christian
Football that I kick field goals from 20 yards out
Soccer when I score two goals a game
There’s a whole lot of blessings in this poem about our son Zach. When I asked him what he meant by me being a busy bee, I got a kick out of his response…he said, “Well you are busy…busy with meetings…meetings at the Mission, meetings for Mary Kay, meetings for Bible Study.” I guess I live a life of “meetings.” 🙂
Today I’m thankful for downtime. Time to refresh, rejuvenate and to recharge. I did some of that during the day today, and I really enjoyed it! It was a great way to end my week. Bill and I had a date night tonight which was relaxing as well. I appreciate these times of refreshment! I’m continuing that tomorrow morning with my monthly massage! I can’t wait! 🙂 Good night!
