On your marks…get set…GO!
I’m feeling that this week! It’s going to be a week of adventure! 🙂
I woke up early this morning to prepare for it. I baked cinnamon streusel bread for BSF this morning and made chocolate chip muffins for the kids for breakfast.
Our last BSF Leaders’ Meeting was this morning. It was a beautiful time together with all the leaders from our class. We shared breakfast at the church, prayed together, and shared the things God has taught us in the last 32 weeks together through our lessons. I am going to miss these women over the next three months! Some I will get to see at Mission of Hope, thankfully. We will reconvene the end of August. I can’t imagine my life without BSF! (I’ve been involved with it for 15 years!)
I made a stop at Goodwill afterwards, and donated many items. I pray someone will be blessed by the things we donated.
I worked at home this afternoon. Ali was home, as she only had one class today–at 8am. It was nice to spend part of the day with her. Her days of high school are winding down.
Tonight Ali and Zach traveled with the Varsity Soccer team to the Sub-State game. Zach didn’t dress for the game, so Bill and I decided to stay home and get some much needed things done. We didn’t plan it, but ended up going through his clothes in the closet. We were able to remove all of his 2X shirts and 46 through 38 waist pants! I have piles to take to the Mission tomorrow! I am so proud of him! He’s past the -85 pound mark. His goal is -100! (Our boys won the game…beat #15 in the state too!)
Ali has been wanting the bigger bed from our spare bedroom moved up to her room. When she gets home tonight and walks in her room, she’ll freak out to find the bed in her room!! Zach got her mattress, so he’ll be surprised too! I can’t wait to watch and hear their reactions! 🙂
Tomorrow I’ll be at Mission of Hope. A Board meeting at noon and a Staff meeting at 2pm. Ali and I are going shopping tomorrow night…for bedding for her new bed (she doesn’t know that yet), graduation dresses, etc. I’m looking forward to spending the evening with her.
Wednesday is my official last day of BSF…it’s Sharing Day. It’s a beautiful way to end our 32 weeks with giving our group members the opportunity to share what God has done in their lives during our study this year. I’ll be at Mission of Hope the rest of the day. This is Ali’s last day of high school…ever. She’s excited for it, as you can imagine! The soccer team plays #10 in the state that night for semi-finals. I imagine Bill and I will go to the game.
Thursday…Ali’s birthday! She turns 18!! I’ll be at Mission of Hope, as she has plans with her friends all day. I can’t believe she’ll be 18. She’s a beautiful 18! Thursday evening is Zach’s choir concert. The school year is winding down for him too.
Friday I’ll be at Mission of Hope again. We have a graduation party that evening, and hopefully will have a date night!
Saturday is Ali’s graduation. We’ll be celebrating with her, and some of our friends and family are joining us. We have a few graduation parties later that afternoon.
Sunday will be filled with church and graduation parties the rest of the day. (I need to be careful to not gain all the weight I’ve lost at these parties! I can’t pass up the cake!!)  🙂
Monday, Memorial Day is Ali’s 18th Birthday Party with family and friends. That’ll be fun having some downtime with all of them! 🙂
Whew! I’m looking forward to soaking everything in this week and making lots of memories! It’ll be a great adventure. I’ll post when I can!
Have a great week too! 🙂
