“Easter morning! If God told me to choose between preaching and breathing today, I’d suffocate.”
I read the above on tweet from Max Lucado (one of my favorite authors and preachers) on Twitter on the way to church this morning. (No, I wasn’t driving…Bill was.)
His next tweet hit me…”Praying 4 all who preach about the empty tomb today. Be clear. Be bold. Believe!”
Gulp. That would be me, Max. And then his next tweet…”If u r bringing an Easter message, send me ur name. I’ll pray for you!” I sent him my name. 🙂
Throughout delivering the Easter message this morning at Mission of Hope, I could feel the prayers…maybe from Max, maybe from Bill and my children, maybe from Tina, maybe from Pastor Barb (from Florida), maybe from someone else who was praying for me or for our Worship Service at the time. I don’t know who for sure was praying other than myself, but I felt a peace so amazingly strong, and I almost felt like God’s own hands were upon me. He gave me boldness to share the truth and the beauty of the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you. It was an honor to be Your servant and your mouthpiece this morning. To You be the glory!
It was a blessed Easter for our family today. I pray it was for you as well! And if by chance, you were one praying for me or for the Service this morning, I thank you!
