It’s A Confetti And Cupcake Kind Of Day!

by | Mar 16, 2018 | #adventure2018

We’re tossing confetti in the air, and later cupcakes will be in hand.

I love confetti and cupcake kind of days!

It's a confetti and cupcake kind of day!
Why, you ask? Why confetti and cupcakes? Today is the “grand reveal” of my new site here at julielefebure.com! Thank you for stopping in for a few minutes to celebrate with me! (Keep reading… we have goodies below!)

Stroll with me back a few years. It was 2007 and I had just lost my mom the year prior. The emptiness I felt of having both parents gone was overwhelming. Waves of grief came and went, especially that first year without her. I clung to anything that was hers, any piece of her I could hold on to. I found myself in instances where I needed Mom’s advice or I wondered how she would have handled whatever situation I was in. Oh, how I wished I would have paid more attention when she shared her life experiences with me. I wished I would have asked her to write some of them down.

So, with a desire to do that for my children (and maybe some day, my grandchildren) I began blogging.

Writing became my passion.

I fell in love with writing, with telling stories of my life, with encouraging others through them and God’s Word. My blog became more than I ever dreamed it to be. God had given me a gift, and it brought me much joy to share this gift.

So, here we are. Today I’m not only celebrating this milestone on my blog. That’s a great thing to celebrate! But, I’m celebrating so much more… God’s faithfulness in my life, the lessons and all He’s taught me, the writing gift He has given me, and the people He allows me to do life with (YOU!).

We have much to celebrate today!

With or without confetti and cupcakes. But, life is more fun with them, isn’t it?

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 ESV

We have prizes!

Friend, what can you celebrate today? Simply share your answer in the comments section below and on Monday, 3/19, at 9 PM I will draw out two names to win one of two of my favorite bracelets!

Also, we’re updating my blog’s Facebook page. I’m unable to change its name due to Facebook’s policies, so a new page has been created. I don’t want you to miss out on any encouragement, so click on this link, then like and follow the new page. All who do by Monday, 3/19, at 9 PM (CST) will be put in a drawing for one of my favorite things… a Starbucks gift card!

Last, but certainly not least, if you’re local to me, my next BYOB (Bring Your Own Bible and Beverage) event is coming up on Monday, April 9 in Cedar Rapids. All who register to attend by Monday, 3/19, at 9 PM will be put into a drawing for a beautiful journal in my favorite color. (If you’ve already registered, you’re in the drawing!) We’ll draw the name that evening! More details and registration can be found here.

Thank you for celebrating with me. Follow along all day on social media as I celebrate with confetti and cupcakes! Join in the fun when you can.

Have a blessed day!

+Find joy and contentment in every season
+Step boldly into the purpose God has for you
+Live with renewed faith, courage, and hope

It may not appear so now but this disappointment isn't the end.

God can be trusted with it to bring something about something good. Keep your heart hopeful, your eyes lifted, and your prayers consistent.

He is with you, friend.

What stage of blooming are you in? 🌷

Before blooming?
In the middle of blooming?
After blooming?

I'd love to know, and I'd love to encourage you through episode 198 of the Encouragement for Real Life Podcast. It dropped earlier this morning, and in it, we discuss that special season beyond the bloom.

Let me know what stage you're in, and stay encouraged!

Why not give it a try right now and see what a difference it makes.

Have a great day!

It’s easy to overlook the value of “here” when we’re longing for “there.” But God often grows the deepest roots in the most overlooked places. Don’t rush the season. Be present. Be faithful. He’s doing something beautiful beneath the surface.

Where might God be inviting you to bloom today—even if it feels like unexpected soil?

Sometimes we wish we were planted elsewhere to bloom. Or that we were designed differently--maybe like someone else.🌱

But God created us magnificently and has us right where He wants us.📍

He knows what's best for you and me, and in what conditions and situations we'll grow to our fullest potential. 🌞

He won't give us anything less than His best. 👍

Bloom right where you are, friend. Listen to episode 197 of the Encouragement for Real Life Podcast for more. 🌸
