Sometimes we just need someone cheering us on.
Someone who boldly proclaims, “You can do it!” and “I believe in you!” Someone who will dream big dreams with you and someone who will stand in the front row applauding the loudest.
There’s enough nay-sayers in this world, and there’s many who compare and judge. But, as we live our real and authentic lives, we live in the freedom from those negative and destructive activities.
We live in the freedom to be the ones cheering others on.
Encouraging others to use their gifts to impact this world for good. Helping another believe in oneself when he/she has lost the ability to do so. To come along side of someone else in genuine support.
There’s someone in our lives right now who needs a cheer or two. She might need reminded she’s a good mom. He maybe could use some words of strength and belief that he can tackle a tough task at work. Our children might be looking to us for timely boosts in their confidence in their school work or relationships.
Our words matter. Cheering on others matter.
So support one another. Keep building each other up as you have been doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 VOICE
A friend today did this for me. I shared a big dream of mine, and instead of telling me it was too big or that I should get my head out of the clouds, she told me I should do it. She told me she believed in me. She built me up and supported me. So much so, that it spurred me on all day long. It completely made a difference in my day.
Her words gave me hope.
I want to be the one giving out hope aplenty.
I want to be the one cheering the loudest.
To be the one who God uses to be the encourager, the supporter, the builder. I pray God gives me opportunities to do so, and when those opportunities come, may I be quick to act.
Friend, how about you? I’m guessing you’re the one who’s cheering from the front row to the people in your life. Applauding the loudest. Believing the biggest. Supporting the strongest. How do you do it? What are some ways you cheer others on? Would you mind sharing your thoughts below? I’d sure love to read them, and I imagine others would too!
In what can I cheer you on? What’s one area in life I can be encouraging you in? I would appreciate the opportunity to do so! Thanks for journeying with me, friend. You are appreciated!
Much love,
Julie
It’s Day 17 of 31 Days of Living a Real Life. It’s a joy to have you here. You can catch up on all prior posts in this series here.
I think God has given me the gift of encouragement. As I look back I can see He has placed me right where encouragement was needed. In my classroom, at church, with my family, wherever I go I seem to find myself in that encourager role. The funny thing is, I desire encouragement (maybe too much) so it is a learning process to put that aside and become the giver not the receiver. Another great post, Julie!
Cindy, I think you’re right on here. You’re a great encourager! Each time you visit you encourage me. Thank you! I understand what you mean though… we tend to desire what we are gifted with. At least I do! I’m cheering you on as you use your gifts to bless others!
