My husband is pretty incredible.
I was thinking tonight as he left for work for a couple of hours, Bill never complains.
He never complains about working crazy hours. He never complains of not getting enough sleep and feeling tired much of the time (due to his schedule). He never complains of things not working out the way he might expect them to. He really never complains…period.
I’m a pretty blessed woman to have this man for my husband!
If you’ve read any of my posts about him in the last six or so months, you know he’s lost weight, and he’s taken his health seriously. I’m so proud of him. He just finished his third 12-week health challenge and has lost a whopping 115 pounds! He has gone from a size 42 or 44 waist to a 34! He is now wearing medium-sized shirts instead of 2X that he used to wear. He looks amazing! When he put on this pretty cool looking red athletic cut shirt this week for the first time (we purchased for him for his birthday this summer), he looked incredible in it!
I have such respect for Bill! He has become a man of his word. He does what he says he’s going to do…not only with his health, but also in our marriage and in our family. What a blessing he is to me and to Ali & Zach!
He supports me in everything I do. He never, ever puts up road blocks for me, or makes my ambitions complicated. Tonight, for example, he supported me as I lead worship for the very first time by myself at the Mission at our Worship Service. As I sang, I would glance his way every now and then. His look of approval, encouragement, and confidence in me kept me going and encouraged me along throughout the Service. 🙂
Bill and I will be going away for a weekend soon to celebrate our 20th anniversary that took place in the midst of all the activity our family had in August. I look forward to retreating away with him and carving out some much needed time for us…and to share laughs and a whole lot of fun! 🙂
I’m reminded how we had “Love of a Lifetime” by Firehouse sung before our wedding ceremony back in 1992. (Firehouse didn’t sing it, mind you. Vance did. And as I think about it now, I can’t for the life of me understand how a Catholic church allowed that song in one of their churches…not that it’s a bad song, but because it’s not a Catholic-approved song.) Anyway…I have found my love of a lifetime in this man I married. I am truly so thankful for Bill tonight as I close my day and count my blessings!
