I’m very thankful this evening.
As I wind down the day today, I’m watching a special report on ABC about the rescue of the Chilean miners. I can’t even imagine what those 33 men experienced the last 70 days…and how they and their families must feel being reunited. I thank God they have been rescued!
I’m thankful my husband isn’t a miner.
I’m thankful that I haven’t had to live 70 days without him, and hanging on to the hope of seeing him again.
I’m thankful for the health of my family.
I’m thankful for my children.
I’m thankful for firefighters, as I watched some tackle a house fire which happened just a couple houses away from the Mission of Hope Shelter this afternoon while I was there. Seeing flames shooting out of the top the house and black smoke billowing out first-hand had an impact on me.
I’m thankful for the simple things in my life today.
I’m thankful for a wonderful morning at Bible Study Fellowship today.
I’m thankful for God’s Word, and how it contains everything we need to know on how living life here and in eternity.
I’m thankful for running vehicles.
I’m thankful for God’s protection on my life and on each member of my family.
I’m thankful for sleep, and oh, how I need it tonight.
