This is one of those weeks that I’m working every day, and I’m working every evening after arriving home from work. And I know I’m not the only one doing this. Yes, some weeks are more demanding than others. This is one of those demanding weeks. And come Saturday, I’ll be able to rest. But not until then.
My Bible study is keeping me focused and centered. I woke up early this morning to make sure I got my study time in. That helped me keep an eternal focus on things today, and it truly made a difference. I’ve been doing my studying more in the evenings lately, but after today, I see I need to change back to doing it in the mornings.
The thing I seem to struggle with is if I get up early to do my Bible study, then when will I get my workouts in? It’ll either mean getting up earlier, or working out after arriving home from work. The latter of the two choices is much more difficult for me, as I arrive home and am ready to collapse most days. So, I’ll continue to walk this out, one day at a time. I’m looking forward to getting on the treadmill in the morning though! Then getting in to my studying…or maybe the other way around???
Today I was able to attend an award ceremony at Zach’s school. He received an academic award for his efforts and grades for the last semester of last year. I am so proud of this guy! He really worked last semester, and it wasn’t easy for him as soccer season was in the heart of last semester. Great job, Buddy!
As I close down this day, I’m thankful Alissa is home tonight. She’s spending the night here at home. It does my heart good to see her like the “old days”…sitting on the couch and on her laptop. Oh, how I miss those special days. It’s good to have her home. 🙂
I pray your Tuesday was a blessing, and if you’re having a week like I am, I pray for God to bless all of us with joy in among our week!
