Yesterday was Day 5 of the 10 Day Give.
I focused on others all day yesterday. I arrived early at Mission of Hope to get things started for the week. My desire was to help as many people as I possibly could throughout my day there. I genuinely encouraged others and told the volunteers and staff how much I appreciated each one. I encouraged Tom, my co-worker to take time off in the afternoon, even though it meant more work on my end. 🙂 It was a very positive, uplifting day there!
Ali had a volleyball game after school last night, and it was fun to cheer her and her team on and encourage them. Zach had a band concert last night. It was an enjoyable concert. Zach did a wonderful job and I made sure I told him so a few times on the way home.
I finished my normal evening activities for my family at home before going to bed. It felt wonderful to lay my head down on the pillow, knowing I gave to many throughout my day. I ended the day in prayer, thanking God for His Son and the opportunities He gave me to give throughout the day. 🙂
