Experiencing a rough day? Or know someone who is?
We all have days that may be challenging and difficult, even though we’d rather not.
Situations happen beyond our control. The cat gets sick on the carpet. The train is running late. Your coffee maker decided to quit brewing this morning. (Yikes!)
Outside influences affect us or our circumstances. We receive an unpleasant phone call. Someone cuts us off in traffic. A quarrel with our spouse begins our day.
Small inconveniences pop up and can turn into big messes quickly. The car keys can’t be found. Coffee is spilled on white pants. A wrong turn makes us late for an appointment.
And when multiple instances happen similar to these in a day, it can become rough and deflating and depleting.
What can we do to make a rough day better?
We may not be able to change our circumstances, but we can change our attitude. We can adjust what we focus on.

Did you notice the common component in each of these? Yes, God. When we look to God in those days that are rough, we won’t just survive them. He’ll give us the ability to thrive! We don’t have to walk through rough days alone ever again.

Promises from God that are always there! 🙂
Amen, friend!
A lot of God and a little sense of humor can help us get through “one of those days”! Like the day the grocery store clerk dropped a 2 liter bottle of pop and it exploded all over me!! Yep! Pop dripping from my hair, my nose, running in my ears, all over my clothes. Had an hour drive home with my eyelashes stuck to my eyelids! Nothing to do but laugh!
