“Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.”
I love this hymm. We sing it in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). I am praising the Lord for what He has done today.
In between Ali’s volleyball games, as I wrote earlier this morning, I was honored to give the message today at Mission of Hope at our Sunday morning Worship Service. It’s humbling thing to be used by God. It was a wonderful feeling…feeling God empower me as I spoke the words He gave me. So many of my Mission friends were there…and at one point during the message as I talked about their influence in my life, I was brought to tears and was choked up…which I wasn’t expecting. These special people have such a place in my heart.
Bill and Zach surprised me by coming also. When I left the volleyball tournament, they had decided to stay there and be an encouragement to Ali. But when I looked out in the chairs, there they were, close to the back. What an encouragement that was for me! Thank you, Bill. I love you.
The scripture I based the message on was Ecclestiastes 4:7-12…sharing we are all in this thing called “life” together, and how a triple braided cord is not easily broken. Thank you, Lord, for teaching me.
We traveled back to the volleyball tournament, and as I watched Ali, I was so completely proud of her. She didn’t get to play very much today, and I’m not sure why. But when she was put in, she excelled. She kept a good attitude, even though I’m sure it had to have been tough for her to do so at times. She showed the heart of a great leader and a great teammate. I couldn’t have been more proud of her! Plus, I was able to spend the day with my family and my best friend, Tina, and her family at the tournament! Thank you, Tina, Mike, Grace and Olivia!
Tonight as I write this, Ali and Zach are at Youth Group…which is a 35 minute drive away. They went… even after Ali had a long day. I’m so proud of them for making Youth Group a priority in their lives! I’m so proud of them…period.
I saw God all over the place today…His work, where He has been, and what He’s done and is doing. I’m looking for Him in everything and everywhere I go. He’s here…but we sometimes need to consciously look for Him. Thank you, God, for revealing yourself to me today!
“…And give Him the glory, great things He has done!”
