If I don’t use it, wear it, or love it, I’m removing it from our home. Period. (Good thing I love my family!) 🙂
Now, I don’t consider myself a hoarder or a keeper of things, and our home isn’t full of clutter. But there are some areas that really bug me in our home. I logged on to flylady.net once again today to get reinspired. It’s a website that helps busy people keep their homes organized, decluttered, and clean. Some of the things there are a little over the top for me, but it helped me today as a reminder to myself…baby steps. Just do a little each day in the areas that bug me.
I made some strides today, but still have so much more I want to do. Go through closets (again), drawers, cabinets, etc. Go through our storage room and get rid of anything we don’t need. (There’s a difference between a need and a want…it’s back to basics time for us at the Lefebure home.) Go through my office files and pitch the stuff I don’t need to keep any longer, etc. It’s going to be an adventure!
I’m also focusing on decluttering my mind…and writing everything down so it’s out of my head and on paper. I know this works for me, as I used to be so good at it in the past. I’m time to bring these good habits back into my life!
I’m off to do my bedtime routine…I’ll try to keep you posted!
