No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites

by | Jun 22, 2015 | desserts/sweets

Sometimes you just need peanut butter and chocolate. Together.

Am I right?

But for those of us are trying to cut calories, and who desire to eat a little more healthy, this kind of craving can be disastrous. (At least for me.)

Until now.

I looked all over for an easy, quick, and not-so-bad-for-you recipe. I found a few, made some changes, and came up with my own concoction.

We find them delicious, here in our corner of the world. I hope you do too!

No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bites

1 cup quick cooking oats

1/2 cup natural peanut butter or natural almond butter

1/4 cup honey

1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (mini preferred)

Mix all ingredients together. Roll into 1-inch balls. Enjoy!

Notes:

We like to let them sit a few minutes to set up before enjoying.

Feel free to substitute the chocolate chips for another yummy ingredient such as m & m’s, Reece’s pieces, chopped nuts, etc. You could even try chocolate whey protein powder instead of vanilla. (That will be my next concoction.)

If you try this recipe, I’d love to know what you think of them!

Julie

we make these a lot, adding/subtracting ingredients! we like to roll them in toasted coconut–sometimes add flax seed or chia seeds…very adaptable!
