Love Note To My Lefe’s – January 2015

My monthly love note to the wonderful three I get to be wife and mom to:

The first month of 2015 has come and gone, and rather quickly I might add!

Bill, Alissa and Zach, let me remind you what a gift it is to be your wife and momma. You bring much joy, laughter, fun and beauty into this life of mine. I’m so very grateful for you today.

It was a great month, and even though I wasn’t able to get a ton of pictures of us together in the great moments we shared, each one is etched into my memory. But Saturday… experiencing this past Saturday with you was incredible. So many memories of the day captured what a gift you are.

Zach, you and your friends rocked it on stage Saturday. God has blessed you, buddy! You amaze me by all you do, and by who you are. You have talents beyond what I ever dreamed of having at your age, and you use them wisely by blessing others with them and through them. I sat on the edge of my seat (literally) throughout your performance on Saturday, fully knowing you and your friends were going to make us parents proud. And you did. And that hug! Thank you for the hug you blessed me with afterwards. The greatest gift was given to your momma right there! Keep doing your thing and making great choices. Keep your eyes on the One Who has gifted you, and Who has your future. Graduation will be here before we know it. Enjoy every moment of these last four months. I love you, Peter! 🙂

Alissa, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read your text that you were in the gym on Saturday. That was the last thing I expected, and was a beautiful surprise to not only me, but to Dad and Zach! Seeing you with Morgan by the door about made my heart burst! Thank you, Sweetheart, for blessing me (and us) by surprising us and for driving all that way. But that’s what you do. Thank you for having the heart you do, and for how you bless others through it. Thank you for making your family a priority. You already know I’m proud of you, but I’ll tell you again. I couldn’t be more proud of the woman you are, and the choices you are making in your life. Keep doing the next right thing, and keep your eyes on God. I look forward to Bible study with you again. God’s got big things in store for you. I love you, Lissy!

And Bill, on Saturday I caught so many moments of you taking care of your family, and loving us as you did so. From foregoing sleep to travel with me, to praying for me and the kids on the way, to doing all you did backstage to make the show run smoothly, to never complaining about anything. Anything! Watching you in your element blesses me so. And that photo of you and the kids! It melts me each time I see it. You look so happy, so blessed, so fulfilled. Thank you for the dates together, the laughs, the security, and the love you shower me with. Thank you for being the incredible dad you are to Alissa and Zach, and for leading us in a godly way. I love you, Billy! So much.

We’ll keep making priceless memories together, and as we do, let’s remember to thank God for each one. May God keep us safe, continue to guide us, and bless us with His indescribable presence all month long!
