Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Happy New Year

I saw a quote today that seemed to light a fire within me…

“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.”

That’s what I intend to do.

As 2013 has just a few hours left in it, I look forward to a new year. I look forward to the new possibilities, new opportunities, new experiences, new memories to make, new blessings, new ways I’ll see God in my life, and new times of growth.

I also look forward to walking with God closer, relying on Him, and continuing to seek His will for my life.

Yet, in these last few hours of 2013, I am reflecting back on this year and all it held for me and for my family.

There’s no doubt God grew my faith in Him, He grew me personally, and He blessed me beyond what I ever could have imagined. I took a look back at the memories I captured through photos this afternoon, and I am so grateful for what He allowed me and my family to experience in 2013. Some of those memories you’ll find below.

Yes, there were also challenges in 2013 and times of uncertainty. My world was rocked in August when Bill was hit by a car as he was riding his bike. I thank God again and again for sparing his life.

The year ended in an unexpected way for me leaving Mission of Hope, but as I followed God’s leading for me to leave, it was a perfect ending of the year and summed up our year well…obedience. Obeying God was a key thing for us throughout 2013. There’s no better place to be than in the center of God’s will. 🙂

2013 was a good year, and, for the most part, a healthy year for us four. We have so much to thank God for as we look ahead to 2014! I hope you’ve taken some time to reflect on this past year as well, and I pray God protects you, keeps you healthy and safe, and reveals Himself to you in a very real way in the year ahead!

And as we all open the 365 page book that’s ahead of us with the first blank page tomorrow, may we begin on a wonderful, adventurous, and blessed journey together and with our Savior, our Redeemer and Friend!

God bless you! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year
It wasn't until I lost my mom in 2006 that I realized Mother's Day isn't the happiest day for all of us.

Please know that no matter how you are feeling today and what emotions you are experiencing, God sees, He knows, and He cares.

And I'm praying for you. My heart is with you, especially today. 🩷

I pray you see yourself the way God sees you.

You're amazing! 🌟

Sometimes, a simple prayer said while inhaling and exhaling can make all the difference. 🙏

Try this one if you're feeling stressed. 🥴

Distractions will try to entice you from the moment. Don't let them.

Stay present. Live in the moment. Be where your feet are.

Your life is too important to live it distracted.
