Monday morning.
I don’t believe my coffee has ever tasted so good.
We had a wonderful weekend. Amazing, actually. And the sleep I received the last couple of days told me I didn’t get enough last week. I needed a weekend like that.
So, here we are again, facing a new day and a new week.
And we have a choice.
We can choose to either make today great, or we can choose the opposite.
We can choose to live in each moment of this Monday, or we can choose to wish it was another day.
We can choose to make this day our masterpiece, or we can choose to waste it away.
I’m choosing, in these early hours of my day, to make this day the best I can.
It may not go exactly like I want, or how I expect, but I’m going to make the best of it.
Disappointments may come, and discouragement may try to get the best of me, but I’m going to keep my focus on the good.
Things might happen beyond my control, but I will do my best to remember to let go and let God.
Someone may try to rain on my parade, but no one can determine my attitude but me.
I may not know what this day holds, but what I do know, is Who holds this day.
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
He even made Mondays.
The sunrise above was from last Monday. If that beautiful scene doesn’t prove God values Mondays just as much as He values any other day, then I don’t know what does!
And we should value them just as much, too.
Will you join me in making this day a masterpiece? He’s given each of us a new day with a blank canvas.
May we paint the day beautiful!
Let me tell you, you make mine beautiful, just by being in it!
Have a beautiful Monday, friend!
Julie

Amen, Julie! We do have a choice. We can see the negative or choose to focus on the blessings. And there are so many things to be thankful for. Thank you for this reminder. “May we paint the day beautiful!” Amen!
Yes, Abby! We have so many things to be thankful for. I’ve been intentional this week on painting my days beautiful. What a difference it has made! Thank you for stopping in and for sharing!
