This post is a little late. Not because the content isn’t important…that’s the farthest thing from the truth.
It’s late because our lives and our schedules have been so full that I haven’t had a chance to write about it yet.
Ali turned 18 on May 24.
The day after her last day of high school.
Two days before she graduated.
Two days after we purchased a new car for her.
Four days before her family birthday party.
We saw her for maybe an hour on her birthday. Her best friend, Brittany, spent the night at our house the night before, so they ushered Ali’s 18th birthday in together. They went to the beach and Orange Leaf on her big day. We met up with them at Gengis Grill for a wonderful meal with her and three of her friends, Brittany, Taylor and Courtney. It’s been our annual tradition to have her birthday meal at Gengis.
We celebrated her birthday with family and friends on Memorial Day at our home. It was a beautiful day and much of our family came. She was blessed by each of them.
It’s hard for me to believe Ali is 18! As I’ve mentioned in past posts, time has flown by. People told me it would, but I never expected it to go quite this fast. There’s no way to prepare for it…it just happens.
I’m thankful God is growing up Ali to be a beautiful woman on the inside and out. I’m thankful He’s kept her pure and walking on His path for her life. I’m looking forward to seeing where He will take her and to watch the plans for her life unfold in the years ahead!
Happy Birthday Alissa! I love you more than you know!
Love, Mom
