Friday. The day many of us come together to write for five minutes on one word. We let our minds and fingers fly, as we forget about the normal concerns of writers…grammar, spelling, punctuation. It’s quite freeing and a whole lot of fun. Normally we meet up at Lisa-Jo Baker’s, but this week while she’s away we’re connecting at Crystal Stine’s. Join us if you wish!
This week’s word:
–BELONG–
Go.
You belong here, friend.
I love hanging out with real people like yourself. You who aren’t perfect, and don’t try to be. You who live a real and authentic life, and who is okay with stepping over the shoes in my front entry way and sharing our lives over a cup of coffee. You who are free to be who you are, without comparing yourself to another imperfect person–who may seem perfect.
You belong. And I’m glad we get to journey through this life together.
I’m thankful we can learn from each other, encourage, and inspire each other to be who we are and to grow in our relationships on this journey and with our Lord.
You can feel safe here. You won’t be judged, questioned, abandoned or feel like you have to prove yourself to belong. You are accepted, just as you are.
You bless me each time you stop by. Thank you for allowing me to belong in your life as well. I consider it a special and extraordinary gift!
Stop.
It truly is a gift to “do life” with you. God bless you today and every day!
Julie

Thank you for stopping by, Michelle! Have a great day too!
So welcoming to know we can be ourselves and still belong! Thanks for sharing these words!
I agree Rachel! It’s freeing to be ourselves…exactly who God desires us to be! Thank you for coming by today. Blessings for a great weekend!
What a nice surprise! Thank you for the kind, welcoming words. I would gladly step over your shoes if you don’t mind stepping over the sports and dance bags in my entryway!! Wonderful post!
Hi Lisa! I welcome the shoes, the sports and dance bags any day in our entryways! There will come a day when those won’t appear there anymore, so I’m appreciating them while I can! Thank you for stopping in today. Glad we can walk this journey encouraged together. Have a great weekend!
