I think seaweed is gross.
There’s been plenty of it around us for the last few days. But I guess if you’re going to be in the Gulf of Mexico, you should expect some seaweed.
Walking out on our deck the other morning, however, I saw the sight below which brought a smile to my face…
Who would have ever thought something so icky could make something so beautiful??
Seaweed, used in the right way can make someone smile!
It did me.
You may have plenty of seaweed in your life. I know I do. I have parts that are pretty ugly. Parts that I don’t care for anyone else to see. Parts that don’t bring much glory to the One Who created me.
My selfishness, my envy, my short temper, my not-so-humble attitude, my sharp words, my judgmental thoughts. They are all gross, too.
But those parts don’t need to stay that way. God can use those parts for His good if I allow Him to.
Starting today, let’s allow God to transform our seaweed into something beautiful. Let’s allow Him to form it into a smiley face, and allow it to bring a smile to the face of someone else.
I’ll never look at seaweed in the same way again.
Wishing you a great day!
Julie
Oh that smiley face was delightful. I love where it took you with this post. “…let’s allow God to transform our seaweed into something beautiful.” Amen! Thank you for making me smile this morning. Blessings. xoxo
Hi Beth! God seems to teach me through the most every day things. Glad it made you smile too! I hope you’ve had a couple great bike rides today and are enjoying your Sunday. Blessings to you!
