It’s a glorious Christmas day!
My precious family and I are enjoying the day at home together, as we celebrate our Savior’s birth. I am beyond thankful.
Besides our tradition of the kids opening one gift on Christmas Eve, we opened presents this morning. Pleased smiles were seen on Ali’s and Zach’s faces. It still gives me such joy to give them and Bill gifts. 🙂 Zach especially loved his new soccer cleats, and Ali loved her new UGG boots. Bill and the kids blew me away with all they gave to me to bless me. But the best part of our day has been spending the whole day together…just the four of us. I’m cherishing every single moment.
We made and enjoyed a wonderful brunch. And now dinner is in preparation…a full Christmas meal with all the fixings for this evening. I think I’m looking forward to my pumpkin pie the most! 🙂
My heart feels so full today. Full of love for Bill, Ali and Zach. Full of love and thankfulness for all who are in my life. Full of compassion for my friends at Mission of Hope. Full of gratefulness for God’s love. Full of joy for what Christmas is. We celebrate Christmas because Jesus was born on this day to give us hope and eternal life with Him. I am forever grateful for that. He came to be born of a virgin for you and for me. Every day, my friends, is Christmas. God is with us!
From my family to yours, Merry and Blessed Christmas!
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Thanks for stopping by.
I’d love to hear from you!
