I gave the “message” at Mission of Hope, our church, on Sunday. I am always amazed how God brings everything together as I’m preparing the message. I shared a little about where I was at in my post on Friday with my preparations. As always, God helped me pull everything together with plenty of time to spare! I’m in awe how He does that! 🙂
I am always amazed, too, how God brings everything together during the service…the worship music, the prayers, the message and the closing. The band, Refiner’s Fire, didn’t know what I was going to talk about, and I didn’t know what they were going to play, but yet the songs matched beautifully the content of my message! Tina didn’t know what I was going to share, yet her opening prayer blended with my message so well! Tom’s closing wrapped it all up perfectly, after my message! Only God could do all of that!
Through preparing for my message, God brought to my attention how He has grown my love for Him and for others as I have volunteered my time at Mission of Hope each week. I became well aware of my previous judgmental attitude of people who might be different than me, and how God has changed that attitude to one that looks at people differently now. So, He once again taught me as I prepared for this message.
God also prompted others through my message to help Mission of Hope. I understand a handful of people in attendance came up to Pastor Barb after the service and offered to come in and help at the Mission during the week! How excited she and I both were about that! We both know how the Mission needs more help each day! I can’t wait to see what else God is going to do with this! 🙂 It’s exciting to be a part of His work!
I’ll be at the Mission tomorrow instead of being there today…I traveled out of town for work yesterday and got back home today. I look forward to seeing what God is going to do while I’m there tomorrow! 🙂 I’ll keep you posted!
