Our Fun Thanksgiving Trip

by | Dec 6, 2009 | fall, family, vacation

Last week our family took a trip to Missouri over our Thanksgiving break with my brother Pat and his family. This was the first time we had ever been “away” on Thanksgiving…for as long as we can remember, we have always been home on Thanksgiving, so this was different for us. But it could possibly be a new tradition! We had so much fun!!

Our families travel great together…I think this is the third trip we’ve taken together! The kids had a great time, and so did the adults! We stayed in a great hotel in downtown St. Louis for three nights…I would stay there again in a heartbeat! We did so many things…visited the Union Station, went to the Galleria Mall (twice), toured Busch Stadium, went to Macy’s downtown and to our favorite “Old Spaghetti Factory.” We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel (and didn’t have to do any dishes!), and we even did some shopping on Thanksgiving afternoon! The kids swam a bunch!

Saturday we traveled to see our Grandma Edna, Aunt Wendy and Uncle Dirk. It was wonderful to spend time with them!

It was such a great trip…very much needed for all of us to rest, relax and reconnect with each other! Enjoy the pictures below! 🙂
