Introduction:
If there ever was a time we needed encouragement in our lives, I believe it is now.
We don’t have to look too far to see a messy world.
We don’t have to search to find all that’s bad going on around us. It’s in the headlines, in the newscasts, across the world and in our back yards.
We each have yuck to muddle through in our days, and sometimes it’s up to our knees.
We need encouragement NOW.
Life can feel helpless and hopeless some days, and we wonder,
“How am I ever going to get through this?”
“How is this ever going to get better?”
“There’s got to be more to life than this.”
The good news is, we will get through, it will get better, and yes there’s more to life than this.
There is hope.
It may be buried under the yuck, but it’s there.
We need encouragement in that hope NOW.
During the month of October, (that’s less than a week from now, by the way!) I’ll be joining the thousands of writers who are challenging themselves to write for 31 days straight.
I’ll be sharing encouragement in that hope we have…
31 Days of Loving God & Loving Others.
In Matthew 22, when an expert in the law tried to trick Jesus by asking Him what’s the greatest commandment, Jesus gave us a model to live by:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Verses 37-40)
Love God and love others.
That’s pretty simple, isn’t it?!
For 31 days we’ll be visiting ways to transparently love God and love others in our daily lives. You’ll find encouragement, hope, promise, goodness, and unconditional love through each of the daily posts.
I hope you’ll stop in when you can, and if you’re prompted, join the conversations below the posts. You’d really make my day. And you might just make someone else’s too.
I’ll be linking up with the fun craziness over at write31days.com. You’ll find a little bit of everything over there from the others who are challenging themselves to write on a subject for 31 days.
It’ll be a great time of growing together, being encouraged in our days, and rekindling the spark of hope that was once buried under the yuck.
I’m looking forward to walking with you through a hope-filled month on this journey!
Blessings!
Julie
